What's New for 2024?
The new Pacifica receives several small changes for the new model year. There's a new interior color option called Sepia and new exterior colors called Red Hot and Baltic Gray. There's also a new Emergency Vehicle Alert System that's been added to the Pacifica's Uconnect infotainment system, which warns you if emergency vehicles are approaching and encourage you to yield.
Performance
Powering the new Chrysler Pacifica is a 3.6-liter 287 horsepower V6 engine paired with a nine-speed transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, though all-wheel drive is optional for all trims. There is also an available hybrid powertrain using the same engine setup that produces 260 horsepower.
As for its gas mileage, the EPA estimates that the gas-powered Pacifica earns about 31 mpg combined. Meanwhile, the hybrid gets an estimated 84 MPGe combined and 33 miles of electric range.
Design
As a luxury minivan, the Pacifica offers a sleeker design than your typical model while maintaining that classic minivan look. The cabin, however, is unlike any van you've seen. The cabin is airy and spacious, offering plenty of storage, cupholders, and slide-out bins.
The cabin is also made from several high-end materials, giving it a more high-end feel. Upgrade to the Pinnacle model, and passengers will find even more luxuriousness, like quilted leather upholstery and matching lumbar pillows for the second-row captain's chairs. Featured in the Pinnacle and the Limited is a tall center console.
Though the three rows of the Pacifica limit the space for cargo, the second and third rows have Stow' n Go seats to expand the space. With the seats folded, the Pacifica can hold about 53 carry-on suitcases. Unfortunately, due to the battery, Stow' n Go is removed from the second row in the Pacifica Hybrid, but Chrysler has added extra cushioning to the standard captain's chairs.
Technology
Equipped in every Pacifica are a host of high-end technologies. A 10.1-inch touchscreen running on Chrysler's Uconnect 5 infotainment system with Amazon Alexa integration is standard. While features like a Wi-Fi hotspot, 12 USB ports, and a rear-seat entertainment system with Amazon Fire TV are optional or offered on higher trims.
Safety
Along with a slew of technologies, Chrysler gave the Pacifica a host of advanced driver-aids. These safety features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and a blind-spot monitor as standard. While higher trims feature a surround-view camera system, an automated parking system, and parking sensors.
